At Staking University California we teach underground locating for water, gas, electric, and communications companies to prevent damaging underground facilities.
We have taught for several utility companies, including Centerpoint Energy, Shell oil, Chevron, Midstream, Washington Utilities Transportation commission, and VAC Group (Australia.)

For the last 8 years, John has been teaching locating classes over the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. Prior to teaching he worked for Eastern Municipal Water District in Perris, California. While at EMWD he worked is way up from the construction department to managing the Engineering Services Department. While at EMWD he received several awards and certifications, including UC-San Diego certificate of completion of training in Safety Committees at Work and the 2009 Ron Olinsky extra mile award for Underground Service Alert of Southern California. He was also on the board of directors for the Underground Service Alert of Southern California until 2021.
John has been married for 38 years, and has three children, and three grandchildren. He enjoys hunting, barbecuing with the family, and going to Hawaii.
